Fabric and Material

FABRICS & MATERIALS

We use a range of technical fabrics for our bags and our bag liner is orange 210T.

CORDURA 1000D - ONLY FOR BAG EXTERIOR

This is the benchmark outdoor gear fabric and are used widely in military applications. Waterproofing coat on the inside of the fabric, with excellent strength and outstanding abrasion resistance.

XPAC™ - ONLY FOR BAG EXTERIOR
(Please note that there will be an additional cost starting from SGD$10, depending on the size of the bag.)

Xpac™ fabric is was originally designed as a high performance racing yacht sail fabric. It's an extremely strong non woven fabric, made of three layers bonded together.

VX-21 is less abrasion resistant, but more waterpoof & lighter than Cordura.

RIPSTOP NYLON (T210) - ONLY FOR INNER LINING

Ripstop nylon is a light-weight nylon fabric with interwoven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. It is woven with coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread.

YKK AquaGuard® Water-Resistant Zippers from Japan

For years it has been standard to use regular coil chain in backpacks. But then leaders in the outdoor industry started implementing YKK’s AquaGuard® zippers The advantage of using a water-resistant chain is two-fold. Firstly, it elevates the look of the backpack. With most backpacks using treated materials to provide protection from the elements, the look of AquaGuard® zippers complement the bag’s form and function. Not only is the pack water-protected, but now it looks water protected with the addition of a coated zipper. Second, in many cases it removes the need for a flap or garage to cover the pack’s coil zipper since AquaGuard® zippers can provide the same protection to the contents of the bag.
